This information was contributed by Dwight Hinton who researched alternative pain medicines to eliminate his fibermalgia pain. Without the supplements below his pain is completely debilitating. High doses of Codeine won't even touch his pain. Although this seems to work for most people with fibermalgia, it is not know how helpful it is for people with pain due to other conditions. If you try Dwight's regiment, please contact me and let me know your outcome, Paul Winter, click to email me.
Everything Dwight does is controversial in some circles, yet he lives virtually pain free. He does not need doctors or prescriptions and can find most things locally (see the list below). He has used the following supplements for the indicated periods:
- Calcium Citrate for ten years.
- Vitamin C for eight years.
- DHEA for 13 years.
- Turmeric for one year.
- Sea salt for one year.
The following doses were used by Dwight to elevate chronic severe pain. They are by no means doses used by people to improve health and may reflect dosage levels that can cause imbalances in more sensitive people.
High dose Vitamin C eliminates the bad cholesterol. However, it can cause iron to build up in the body which is very bad for cancer patients. Therefore, your iron level may need to be monitored. Dwight has built up to 15000 mg of vitamin C. Yes that is 15 grams or 15 horse pills a day. This is based on Linus Pauling's research see Wikipedia. Pauling said that he took 30,000 mg a day. Other sources said 15,000. It is interesting to note that Dwight uses the more acidic ascorbic acid instead of the ph balanced Ester C.
The pain killer for muscle or small joint pain. Dwight experimented with brands but none of them came close to the effectiveness of Citracal. Citracal makes a Calcium Citrate with vitamin D in 630 mg pill size and a Calcium Citrate without vitamin D (called Citracal Kosher) in 400 mg pill size. Dwight varied his Calcium Citrate level from from 2500 mg to as much as 10 grams depending on his needs:
- At times of high pain Dwight takes 2500 mg four times a day for a total of 10 grams.
- Average days, Dwight takes a minimum of 2500 mg spread out through the day usually in four installments.
Calcium Citrate has the problem that comes with too much calcium, reduce bone mass unless you also take strontium, foods rich in B-complex vitamins or B supplements, magnesium, DHEA, and zinc. Also, most Calcium Citrate pills contain vitamin D. If you have sun exposure to your skin and 5,000 ui of vitamin D, you might have too much, see below for overdose symptoms. Therefore, it might be better to purchase Calcium Citrate without vitamin D.
Vitamin D Overdose Symptoms
Although some people have taken 40,000 UI of vitamin D daily without ill effects, some people can show signs of overdose with as little as 5,000 UI and an hour a day of full sun exposure. An overdose of vitamin D can cause:
This is supposed to be the best anti-inflamitory there is. I use it for my lower back because bending over inflames it, and for my knee because the inflammation of stairs is intense. He normally takes:
Two to three pills two to three times a day. Each pill is about 450 mg.
If at home on a weekend, Dwight doesn't take any because there are no stairs to climb, or bending to do. If he takes too much for his activity level, his thumbs and ankles become stiffer. Once Dwight sprained his ankle and couldn't feel it because of the intiinflamation reduction of Turmeric. He didn't know until the weekend when he didn't use turmeric.

Controversial in some circles. All Anti-Aging doctors and websites highly recommend DHEA for anyone over 40. Dwight likes Schiff brand because "I know it works and my wife taking two a day could see her muscles tone up in only one month." Dwight's muscles are well toned even after 20 years of no exercise due to sever severe knee arthritis. DHEA radically sharped Dwights mental processes. He had Alzhiemer memory symptoms 13 years. The first day he started taking DHEA, was like "walking out of a fog." He takes 150 to 200 mg a day on average. Women should only take 1/2 of what men take.
For comments regarding a study where men took 200 mg per day, see the The DHEA Debate reprinted from LE Magazine March 2004.
Dwight takes an average of 1 to 2 teaspoons of salt a day and about 1 gallon of liquid. He puts it in everything he drink: OJ, coffee, water. Knots in the shoulders will go away with 1/2 teaspoon of salt in one quart of water. The pain subsides in 45 minutes. Before using salt, getting into a hot tub made Dwight hurt worse even with drinking a gallon of water. He puts two teaspoons of seasalt into a gallon of distilled water & drinks half while in the hot tub. One or two teaspoons of seasalt with a gallon of water a day virtually eliminates all fibromyalgia pain. He even drinks salt water up until bed time if it means he will have to get up in the middle of the night. He does this because the next morning, he feels great. He greatly reduced the Calcium Citrate when I started the salt because he no longer needed it. He now used Calcium Citrate if he notices any pain start up.

The Best Present
Without a doubt the best present you can give a cancer patient is a spontaneous remission, consider learning more about hypnosis CDs and spontaneous remissions, click the CD.
Pharmaceutical companies and the AMA has padded the coffers of politicians in order to pass laws to prevent any other form of medicine from being practiced in the United States. In such fields as acupuncture and Chiropractic they have lost their battle, but they continue to try to deny people the right to use the treatment of their own choosing. They deny us this right by passing laws that state that no one can make medical claims for something unless it is backed up by expensive FDA approval. However, they cannot prevent the spread of information. That is what these pendants and bracelets are, information. They do not treat or diagnose any disease or condition.
These pendants and bracelets are information and nothing more. The energy signature in the pendent or bracelet does not act on any condition. It only presents the body with information in vibrational form. The body must decide if it wants to vibrate in this manner and make the change itself. There is no difference between this and reading a book that states that vitamin C is a cure for scurvy. No treatment occurs until the person takes the vitamin C. The book does not treat nor does the pendent or bracelet; they are only providing information. The book provides the information in written form and the pendent or bracelet provides the information in energetic form.
If an alternative healthcare practitioner turns out to be dishonest, it is big news. But, you rarely hear of the misconduct and drug use (a rampant problem) of conventional doctors in the media. Conventional medicine is not the best medicine, it is just the most dangerous. It does not deserve a monopoly and should not be allowed to stop us from choosing the treatments we want.
